CAROLYN SIEGEL Principal & Founder. Carolyn has an impressive list of legislative, electoral, policy and issue advocacy successes over the last twenty five-years, and is well known in political and non-profit circles in Colorado. After more than a decade of community organizing, she moved into the labor movement to serve as the Political Director for the Colorado AFL-CIO where she coordinated electoral and legislative programs. In 2008, she launched Siegel Long Public Affairs to provide lobbying and a broad range of campaign consulting services to her clients.
Carolyn has spent almost fifteen years lobbying at the State Capitol in Colorado. She has won legislation to strengthen Colorado’s civil rights laws, create sweeping election reform, improve consumer protections in housing and lending, and promote economic security for working families. She has managed campaign efforts for statewide and local ballot measures and electoral campaigns. Her issue advocacy also includes a track record of building strong coalitions, effective campaign planning and developing community leaders.
Carolyn is originally from Michigan where she graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Political Science. She has lived in Colorado for over twenty years. She loves the state’s mountains and lives in North Denver with her husband and two cats.
